With an outstanding location, Bastion Luxury Rooms offer elegant and modern accomodation with independent  air conditioning and free Wi-Fi access. All 3 beatifully furnished rooms feature king size bed and LCD cable TV, while one unit has separate seating area. Each room comes with private bathroom with shower providing hairdryer and free toiletries. All rooms are located on the fourth floor, no elevator, but we have secured the transfer of the luggage to the room.Diocletian palace, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just a step away from Bastion Luxury Rooms, as well as numerous shops, bars, restaurants and galleries.

Location

The property is situated in Marmontova, the main street of the historical center of Split that leads you directly from Croatian National Theatre to the famous seaside promenade Riva.

The Central Bus and Train Station together with Ferry Port are located within 500 meters, while sandy beach Bacvice can be reached in less than 15 minutes walk. Split Airport is 25 km away and shuttle service is available at a surcharge.

Diocletian palace

Diocletian palace is one of the most important ancient monuments, the biggest and best preserved late antique palace in the world.

It was built by the Roman emperor Diocletian as a preparation for his retirement on 1 May 305 AD.

Today historic city of Split is situated within the walls of the palace. It had been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Monument in 1979.

Marmont street

Marmont street is historicaly significant beautiful main street of the old town of Split.

It features Secession style old buildings while the northern part of the street connects to the architecture of the theatre building through the Venetian fortification "bastion".

There is also a unique fish market in the middle of the street where flies don't tend to disturb merchandise because of nearby sulfur springs.

Salona

Julius Caesar as a pro-consul and Roman governor raised Salona to the status of a Roman colony. It has reached its Golden Age during the rule of the emperor Diocletian.

The town was razed in Avar and Slav invasion in 640 AD. A part of the city walls from the Roman period remained preserved as well as ruins of the beautiful amphitheatre that was built in the 2nd century AD.
